GAME OVER
"No way back" from Chav Haven, claims local resident

Community spirited local councillors have blasted a Northenden Resident whose comments about our village being "irretrievably trapped in a downward social spiral" have sparked serious controversy on Kenworthy Lane. Mr. Ian Powell, who has lived in Northenden for 28 years, has been strongly criticised for recent comments to neighbours surrounding his decision to ask the council for a re-location from Northenden to "a more upmarket area".
Mr Powell, who is understood to be sympathetic towards downmarket, non-Labour party "The liberal democrats", believes that the time has come to desert the village in which he was brought up in favour of a move to Woodhouse Park. His application to be re-housed in a more upmarket area has been intercepted at the local council housing offices by Northenden journalist Vernon Reid. Mr Reid confronted Mr Powell last Saturday in the Crown Inn on Church Road. In an exclusive interview with Northenden.Net, Mr Powell was asked to provide substance to support his application for the move to Woodhouse Park and to back up his allegations that as far as Northenden is concerned, "the game is over".
Mr Powell's mistaken belief is that since 1997, Northenden has seen a period of particularly marked social decline, evident in the change in the social and physical demographic of the area. In a defamatory torrent of absolute misrepresentation, he told Northenden.Net that the village is now "irreversibly" damaged and predicts that the situation can only get worse in the future, having this much to say about the factors causing the area's decline:
CHAVS
"Just look at all these chavs we've got swarming around all over the village. They have been appearing for a good five years, and their number is now growing at an alarming rate. It's just too attractive an option for young girls of sixteen or younger to go out and get themselves pregnant as a means of gaining what they believe to be "independence". It can be shown that, in terms of benefits claimed by a single mother, a good number of kids to have is five or six. For this, you qualify for a flat and around thirty thousand in benefit per annum. Because the kids are nothing more than an easy means to an easy income, little attention is paid to their development as people. These so-called "modern parents" have no concerns over lack of discipline, education, truancy or escalating crime figures. The kids are left to swarm all over the streets and, looking to their parents as an example, fourteen or fifteen years later are spawning five or six chavs of their own to qualify for their own freeloading spongers' lifestyle on benefits. It doesn't take a genius to work out that this cycle will continue until the whole country is nothing but chavs living on benefit. Who's going to pay for it then?"
BOOZE
"Just look at all the bars we've got springing up all over the place - nearly every block on Palatine Road has one, and some even have two. What's going on with the planning applications around here? I cannot understand how we've ended up with so many bars. Once they are all open 24 hours, trouble will escalate and the village will be a complete no-go area. It's already getting there. The 24 hour drinking bill is just a thinly disguised bid to buy votes from drunken yobs."
CRIME
The published statistics on crime are a far cry from the actual truth, claims outspoken right wing liberal fascist Mr. Powell. "My family are afraid to go into the village after dark these days. There are more and more drunks and aggressive looking types in the area."
YOB CULTURE
To safeguard votes in the long term, Yobfather Tony Blair is using stealth to create a society based on yob culture, claims Mr. Powell. Overpopulation, driven by illegal immigrants, so-called economic migrants and benefit culture babies, will spiral. A shambolic collection of role models including the likes of John Prescott, Peter Mandelson and Yobfather Blair, will continue to wreck what remains of our heritage and cultural values. Yobs will eventually take over - and there's only one way for the yobs to maintain their easy lives, safe from having to work for a living. Vote for the yobfather to ensure your steady stream of taxpayers' money.
GAME OVER
According to Mr Powell, there's no end in sight until the country implodes. There is little incentive for benefit recipients to work when in some cases, they can claim more allowances than they would earn. Fewer and fewer of us are working for a living and with our system fostering a burgeoning chav population, this will soon be completely out of control. Politicians and ultra-rich businessmen pay little in the way of income tax. Increasingly the burden is being placed on a diminishing number of middle earners. Alarmingly, a growing number of professional workers are being forced out of a country they see as impossibly expensive. Some are so desperate that they see no alternative than the ultimate sacrifice - go and live in France.
Northenden.NET Says:
Everyone is entitled to our opinion, even if, as in the case of Mr. Powell, it is clearly complete rubbish. As residents of Northenden, we all have a shared responsibility to promote a good image of our village. Mr. Powell's comments betray the faith placed in the Northenden's integrity, present and future, by those of us who choose to stay here. Mr. Reid added: "If that whingeing git wasn't leaving anyway, I'd bleedin well kick him out myself".
